The Face Body Beauty team is honored to have won the Best Makeup and Hair award from Oregon Bride Magazine again for 2015. This year we also won the Best Overall Wedding Vendor for the State of Oregon. Wow, we were so surprised and humbled by this award. It shows that we are not only exceptional artists and stylists but also make service and business practices our top priority. There were so many exceptional wedding professionals up for these awards which makes this accomplishment even more humbling. We love what we do and will always continue to improve in every way.

The Face Body Beauty team was proud to be a sponsor of Oregon Bride Magazine’s Urban Unveiled Event on October 31, 2014. The event was held at the unique urban venue, Left Bank Annex.

As a sponsor of the show, the Face Body Beauty team was in charge of makeup and hair for the runway show. The theme for the event and for the runway show was “Garden of Eden”. We loved the theme and were so excited. Jennifer, the owner of Face Body Beauty, created two makeup palettes designed to compliment the theme and the models gorgeous floral headpieces created by Francoise Weeks.

The makeup palettes were designed to be romantic and dramatic at the same time. Face Body Beauty is known for creating fresh-faced looks and that beautiful bridal glow so we definitely wanted that to translate onto the runway.

For hair we had two styles. Both were slightly messy yet romantic. One of our artists, Chelsie did an amazing updo/side braid combo on several of the models and it definitely rocked the runway! The other styles was long, loose waves with a bit of messy and a bit of volume.

We are very grateful for these beautiful images taken by the talented and always fun, Mosca Studios. A thank  you also goes out to Heahter Matheny of Oregon Bride Magazine for all of her hard work on the show. She was an excellent communicator, organizer and manager of everything for Urban Unveiled!

The Face Body Beauty team is thrilled to announce that, for the 5th year in a row, we have won the Bride’s Choice Award for best Makeup & Hair artistry in Oregon from Wedding Wire & Martha Stewart Weddings.

This is quite an honor and something we are very proud of achieving. This award is based on reviews from past brides and clients so it is an accurate and honest way to rate wedding professionals.

The Face Body Beauty team had the honor of being the official Beauty Sponsor this year for Portland’s Committed!! Event. This show was amazing! Not your traditional wedding show. It was fun, creative, inspiring and such a party!

Our team designed the makeup and hair looks for the runway shows. We worked onsite to get all 26 models ready to rock the runway! Here are some pics of our team from the event.

We are thrilled to announce that Face Body Beauty has won the Oregon Bride Award for Best Makeup & Hair for 2012! This is our 3rd year in a row to win this award. We were so honored this year to also be a runner up for the Best All Around Wedding Vendor in the entire state of Oregon! We make service as much of a priority as our artistry!

Some of the team was able to make it to the awards banquet. Here is a picture of me (Jennifer), Sunny and Whitney! The rest of the team were working on photo shoots/event projects that evening. We were so excited and proud of our team!

Sunny and I had the opportunity to do make up and hair for a unique and fun Halloween inspired photo shoot. We worked with Mandi Wiley of Champagne Wedding & Event Coordination, Jessica Hill Photography and many other talented wedding professionals! The photo shoot was set at the Lolich’s Family Farm in Scholls, Oregon.

How fun to do make up and hair for a Halloween inspired shoot!!! Mandi was so great about letting us do what we felt would be best! She gave us the inspiration board and let us get creative! The colors were purple and orange with lots of black accents….so fun! I knew I wanted to keep it bridal but definitely add some drama!

Big (& a little messy) hair and smokey eyes were a must!! Sunny and I met with the models and talked over some ideas. We came up with messy hair styles inspired by Bridget Bardot & classic Halloween witches! For makeup, I immediately saw smokey eyes with purple for one of the models and smokey eyes with bronze/brown tones for the other model. I love doing smokey eyes with colors other than black. I often hear that I am not in the best shape or I want to lose a few pounds before I do something like that. There is no need! Deyla is amazing at posing ladies in the most flattering ways and finding the perfect light so that you look nothing but gorgeous!
I have done boudoir pictures for my husband a couple of times and I am no skinny minnie!! I was always so proud of myself for doing it and for not letting body image hold me back. It is a very empowering experience as well as the most awesome gift! My hubby was so surprised in the best way! He just kept saying Wow, and you look so beautiful. That made it worth it for sure 🙂 A couple years later, he still talks about his book of pictures and keeps it in a special place! That makes me feel so good!

Face Body Beauty artists, Michelle and Kali, created a lovely romantic makeup and hair look for a beautiful bride. The setting was the gorgeous Maysara Vineyards. The theme was soft and romantic with some vintages touches.

Michelle used a palette of soft mauve and plum tones to capture the romantic feel of the wedding. It is just gorgeous. I love these colors with her dark features. So beautiful.
